Candles on the Cobb


Project Information

This was a fantastic opportunity for keen and committed singers to collaboratively compose and perform original music for an intimate candlelit concert in St Michael’s church on 29th August and at an open air recital during the lighting of the candles at Candles on the Cobb on 30th August (estimated audience 4,000).

Led by musician/composer John K Miles, participants worked with:

  • Bournemouth Symphony Strings Players – Kate Turnbull, violin and Roberto Sorrentino, cello
  • Professional guest musicians Winston Clifford, drums and Dave Manington, bass
  • Vocal coach Deborah Jordan
